A quick over-nighter in the Olympic National Forest (WA) without snow shoes in April was a really poor choice. No chance of doing any skills training like we originally hoped… this ended up being nothing more than exercise lol. Whoops.

This is the ultralight cook pot I made from a Fosters beer can and some wire coat hanger. This pot weighs 35 grams and replace my steel cook pot weighing 127 grams.

Hiking Adena Trace with my new friend Paula.This is also her 1st time backpacking.I wore my crocs on way out of the hose and forgot my hiking boots,so had to hike in crocs.We got off trail and got lost a bit,but found a nice campsite while lost.Discovered the beauty and disgustingness of pretty butterflies and thier attraction to poop and urine.Also caught some vid of me falling on my ass in the mud.Thats bungle in the jungle,and thats alright by me.He who made kittens,put snakes in the grass.He’s a lover of life but a player of pawns.
