I want to climb Mount Everest but have never climbed a mountain or a hill in my life. Can anyone give me advise? Route information, best trail, what to wear, what to bring,etc.. Better yet if someone is going to climb any time soon I would like to join you. I will pay most expenses. I do want it to be some what challenging, do you recommend to climb in the beg of winter where there is only light snow? Please help!!!!
Im in wrestling and i workout regularly already not really in the BEST shape yet but im getting there. in the winter im getting heavy stuff to put in my book bag and go running up and down a large hill when theres ice and snow. ummm im moving to seattle after I graduate. already have mountain climbing plans to mt adams in.wasington after i graduate as well. what else can i do. ive read countless books. i cant what else is there for me to do. I cant get a hold of mountain madness either to get some more advice. unfotunately i live in illinois now so i cant do much. near st louis. but there is a rock climbing gym out there. its the best ive got though.
oh yeah and just so yall know even though its irrelevant my heroes contain christopher mccandless (alexander supertramp), Rob Hall, and Jon Krakauer
well i still liked alot of his philosophy even though it got him there. alright thanx. i know i wont understand how it is obviously until i actually do it. thank you for the advice.
yeah thank you. ive got a savings account specifically for it. im looking for a job still though. kinda hard to find one. I know whatcya mean but i cant really workout in the environment were i live. well there is a huge hill but thats bout it. Ugh my parents dont think im serious they made fun of me. They lightened up when i opened a savings account for climbing though.
well like i said bout the rock climbing I have access to it but pretty much nothing else.
With the death toll already reaching over 140 deaths to occur to climbers attempting to reach the summit and rescruers and the fact the enviromental future is uncertain for the Everest area I now see that there is a race to be the oldest to sumit the deadly mountain. Why don’t they close the mountain to climbers and save individuals from a sure death? 70+ year old individuals climbing Mount Everest should be allowed?
At this point I am neither an opponent or proponent.I do feel it odd that Dr. Kovarkian is put in prison for his role in assisted suicide while assisting others for a fate possibly the same can be considered an economical advantage.
I didn’t expect to be slammed by asking a question. All I wondered was what others thoughts were on the idea. I agree with many of the thoughts shared.
I’ve never climbed a mountain before because unfortunately I live in Florida, but I really want to climb Everest someday. How much practice would I need before doing so? Also, do all mountains cost so much to climb, or are most a lot cheaper?

I have absolutely zero experience with climbing mountains of any sort. I will climb it in less than a year, before i’m off for college. How much money will i need to raise, and about how much time will it take until i’m ready to climb it? (For an expedition of some sort)
