We took the short 1.1 mile hike up to Big Four in hopes of doing some snowshoeing around the top.. Lack of snow right now is sad, to say the least. More information can be found at www.wta.org

Hi everyone,
I have just finished watching the Macgyver episode called Eagles, and he scaled a mountain. I became inspired to climb mountains. So I’m starting small scale preparations by doing easy cliffs and practice with the different forms of gear(carabineer, pitons, axe, climber’s hammer, etc).

When I go to the Gym, I’d like to focus on areas of my body that will be utilized for mountain climbing. Don’t just simply say every muscle because I know some muscles are used more than others. Please list the most IMPORTANT muscles used for climbing up a mountain. I need to prioritize my fitness plan.

Additionally, please state your source. I prefer people who do ACTUAL mountain climbing to reply.

Thank you for reading.
Well okay I take that back, not 100% granite but mostly granite.
